Origin Coffee Story

Our story begins in the coffee farms of Shan State in Myanmar, where our founders first discovered the world-class quality of Myanmar coffee during their travels. With Asia becoming the new center of gravity for the booming coffee culture and considering that Myanmar coffee is still largely undiscovered compared to its neighboring countries, an idea was formed to establish a global coffee leader that brings a unique 100% Myanmar farm-to-cup story.  

Origin Coffee & Roastery was then opened in 2020 with the goal of introducing specialty coffee to Myanmar. Our first location of our coffee shop and roastery located in the Central Boulevard, right at the prime corner of Kabar Aye Pagoda Road and Kanbe Road, next to Inya Lake.

We focus on Single Origin coffee, which means all of its beans are carefully sourced from a single origin. This approach allows Origin Coffee to control the quality of its specialty coffee, ensuring the highest quality and a consistently delightful taste profile. Our single origin approach also enables us to maintain direct contact with Myanmar’s wonderful farmers, with whom we work closely to achieve the best possible harvest result. 

Origin Coffee & Roastery does not only operated as a specialty café and roastery, but we also supply coffee, offer leasing services for various types of coffee machines and equipment, and provide technical support and consulting services for new café owners, corporates and hotels across the city. A year after, a new branch was opened in the Uniteam Marine Building on Pan Hlaing Street.  

In 2023, we achieved a significant milestone by securing our FDA license, a testament to the quality and safety standards of our coffee beans. With this achievement, we have embarked on a global journey, exporting our exquisite Myanmar specialty grade coffee beans to discerning coffee enthusiasts worldwide. This endeavor not only signifies our commitment to excellence but also serves as a gateway to introduce the world to the unparalleled beauty and exceptional quality inherent in Myanmar coffee beans. Through our exports, we aspire to spread awareness, allowing coffee aficionados across the globe to savor the unique flavors and aromas that define Myanmar's rich coffee heritage.
